LiveLeak caves (but can you blame them?)
March 28th, 2008 under Islam, Cry-Babies, Free Speech, Islamification of the West, Religion of Peace. [ Comments: none ]

Geert Wilders’ movie FITNA, which is critical of Islamic Supremacists, was being streamed at LiveLeak.com. It seemed there was at least one last bastion of freedom on the Internet. But they have pulled the movie due to threats of a "very serious nature."

Unfortunately, I didn’t get the change to view it last night, so when I went to look at it to day, this is what is playing:

It is indeed a sad day when the followers of the "Religion of Peace" are so kind and peace loving they will threaten bodily injury and death to anyone who speaks against them.

UPDATE: I found a version of the movie on the YouTube. I don’t know how long it will last. I’ll try to keep the video link below current, but you just never know.

UPDATE UPDATE: If there are problems with the below vids from the YouTube, FITNA can viewed at "1389Blog - Antijihadist Tech" - where they are hosting it themselves. And I’m pretty damned certain the team at 1389Blog won’t be caving into the Islamic Supremacists and their murdering cohorts any time soon. Oh, and BTW, one my also see the film that got Theo Van Gogh murdered by those "religion of peace" followers.

Dhimmi Of The Week: Network Solutions
March 24th, 2008 under Islam, Cry-Babies, Free Speech, Islamification of the West, Religion of Peace, Internet, Dhimmi Of The Week, Dhimmitude. [ Comments: none ]

justsayno This, I wasn’t expecting. Sure, Google removes from their news-feeds nearly anything critical of the ‘do no evil’ company, and sure they remove from their news-feeds most things that are overtly, and blatantly critical of Islam and/or Muslims in general, but I didn’t expect the company that is, for many, the de-facto registrar of domains in the world to begin a political correctness campaign.

For those that have been in and around the Internet business for more than 6 or 7 years, they’ll remember ‘way back when’ domain names cost upwards of $70 a year, and there was only one place to get them. That place was Network Solutions. Now, in a bold move of appeasement and a grandiose gesture of dhimmitudeness, the great NetSol has suspended the web-site for Geert Wilder’s 15 minute movie. They claim it may violate their terms of service (I am assuming regarding hate speech or incitement to violence or some other such nonsense). Seems many people have complained about the site. I can’t really figure out why. The site consisted of the following:

The site formerly showed the film’s title, "Fitna" ("Coming Soon"), and an image of a gilded Koran.

Now, I fail to see how a site with a movie title and a picture of a Koran could, by any sane and marginally reasonable person, possibly violate the NetSol TOS. Perhaps it does. Perhaps NetSol has a clause in there about not showing a picture of the Koran, or not using foreign language to depict the words "Coming Soon". More realistically, I think, is that the NetSol blue-suits are scared, scared for their lives, and the reactions from the "Religion of Peace" followers if they left it up. It was these self-same, diversity spouting peaceful Muslims after all, that caused so much chaos and mayhem last year with the publishing of the now infamous Mo’ Toons.

It is a sad day when an old (by Internet standards anyway), well established and nearly house-hold name company like Network Solutions sells out in this way. If they were looking to not offend people, they have failed. I know I, or one, am greatly offended at this action. I am hoping and praying that Wilder finds another host for his site, and that 1) his movie does get distributed, and 2) it is translated into English (or at least sub-titled) so I can view it and understand it.

For their kow-towing and obvious subservience to the Islamic Supremacists, I am awarding Network Solutions the honorable "Dhimmi Of The Week" award. Congrats guys! May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your groin, and you’re business go down the tubes faster than Spitzer’s career.

Sticks and stones may break my bones…
December 12th, 2007 under Cry-Babies, Culture, Free Speech. [ Comments: none ]

but words will never hurt me.

4x4 Wormwood, 7/7/06, 4:29 PM, 8C, 6000x5968 (0+1621), 100%, Repro 1.8 v2, 1/20 s, R105.1, G75.9, B101.7Johnathan Derbyshire has an excellent article in the New York Sun regarding hate speech, actions and words and the difference between them all in his review of Jerome Neu’s book "Sticks and Stones: The Philosophy of Insults".

One of the things he says really hit the nail on the head for me:

Mr. Neu’s skepticism about hate speech legislation, speech codes, and blasphemy laws is grounded in a very Millian understanding of what is involved in upholding freedom of speech. We should, he argues, see certain kinds of discomfort, offended feelings, and so on as being among the unavoidable costs of free thought, inquiry, and argument. The Muslim protesters who besieged the office of the editor of Jyllands-Posten were entitled to his respect, but not his "submission." Failing to recognize that these are not the same threatens to make free expression itself the "victim."

Almost, but not quite, entirely unlike something harmful
October 9th, 2007 under Crime, Cry-Babies, WTF?. [ Comments: none ]

It seems that Amnesty International doesn’t like the coppers using tasers. They think it is uncalled for and want police departments to ban them. Now I know what you’re thinking - “Great! That means the cops will just shoot more bad guys!” - and I was thinking that too. But then I realized, all those bullets are going to cost money. And the police get their money from our taxes. And more bullets means more taxes - so I’m thinking, keep the tasers!

A study conducted by Amnesty
International and funded by the US Department of Justice has found an
interesting conclusion. The study was conducted on the use of taser
guns by police departments throughout the United States. The study revealed that “
99.7 percent of the people on the receiving end in the real world had either no
injury or mild injury”. I suppose that .03% of the people who actually suffer something more than mild injury is too much for AI to swallow. After all, AI claims that 277 people have died in the United States after being shocked by a taser. They don’t say what these people died of, or if the tasering had any thing to do with the cause of death.

Ah well, I guess they have to complain about something since nobody seems to be giving a hoot what they say about Gitmo.

David McSwane should learn a lesson here
September 30th, 2007 under Censorship, Education, Academia, Cry-Babies, Free Speech. [ Comments: none ]

Everyone by now should know about David McSwane. He is the editor-in-chief of the student newspaper at Colorado State University up in Ft. Collins, CO. For those that don’t know, he is also the one who published an editorial in the newspaper which was four simple words “Tazer this, [unmentionable] Bush”.

This was, of course, in response to the tazering of a student in Florida who tried to ask Senator John Kerry un-agreeable questions in a question and answer forum. Forget for the moment that somehow President Bush is responsible for what happened to the Florida student who was asking questions of Sen. Kerry (I have been trying to figure that out, but somehow I just can’t connect the dots), and just focus on the editorial.

The CSU Board of Student Communications which oversees the newspaper is calling McSwane to the carpet. They feel he has violated the paper’s code of ethics, and are looking into firing him. McSwane, of course, is crying they are violating his First Amendment rights. Kids these days, they just don’t understand the term ‘ethics’, or ‘appropriateness’.

If McSwane were working for a real newspaper, in the real world, reporting real news, he would have been fired long before now. The editorial appears on 21 September, and here it is 30 September, a full nine days have passed and McSwane still has his job. In the real world, the Board of Directors or the owner of whatever paper he was working for would have sacked him the day it appeared.

This is just another in what is becoming a fairly long line of cases where students display poor judgment, then scream First Amendment when they are called on it. McSwane has to learn at some point in his life that decisions have consequences, and while he has a First Amendment right to say what he pleases, his employers have every right to can people who make the company look bad.

His unethical, immature use of foul language in a newspaper should not be tolerated if the newspaper wants to retain any credibility as a reporter of real news. That might be okay in a tabloid type paper, or something akin the Lampoon of Harvard, but not an official school newspaper.

Boo [unmentionable] Hoo
September 14th, 2007 under Islam, Cry-Babies, Terrorism, 9/11. [ Comments: 2 ]

I’m shocked! Shocked I tell you! How is it that a country like America, who made a guest of one Khalid Sheikh Mohammed could have treated him in such a fashion as to have him feel humiliated? Humiliated! I am beside myself with grief that we actually made this 9/11 mastermind terrorist Islamofacist piece of dung feel humiliated.

Atheism, the new religion of hate?
September 10th, 2007 under Censorship, Cry-Babies, Free Speech. [ Comments: 1 ]

Atheists are haters now it seems. People on Facebook (users, not the owners) are crying foul when an atheist group started up. Saying that there is no god and that the religion of Islam is false. They don’t specifically say that Judaism and Christianity are also false religions, but it is certainly implied with that whole ‘there is no god’ part.

In response to this group, another group was formed. A petition group of sorts, that has something like 58K people who have joined it, who say they will quit if Facebook doesn’t remove the atheist group.

Oh, but if you ask these Facebookians, I am certain they will probably offer up that they fully support free speech and the first amendment. Well, except that saying that Islam is a false religion, that isn’t free speech, that isn’t expressing your views and ideas, that is just hate speech.

Perhaps if they had given equal time to the Jews and Christians in their anti-religious message, there wouldn’t be such an uproar over this group.

Canadians, check your rights at the Internet portal please
July 25th, 2007 under Censorship, Cry-Babies, Free Speech. [ Comments: 12 ]

Mr. [Bill] Whatcott writes, “I can’t figure out why the homosexuals I ran into are on the side of the Muslims. After all Muslims who practise Sharia law tend to advocate beheading homosexuals.”

This, according to Montrealier Ms. Marie-Line Gentes, is hateful and should not be allowed to be posted on a website hosted in Canada. The website, freedominion.ca (go ahead, click it, you know you want to), has the dubious honor of being the recipient of Gentes complaint to the Canadian Human Rights Council.

And Gentes isn’t even a Muslim. But in her complaint she states:

“even though I am not Muslim myself and I do believe in freedom of speech … I believe that these messages are threatening for Muslims who live in Canada, contribute to racial tensions and can exacerbate discrimination and hostility towards Muslims.”

Because he says that if Muslims who practice Sharia law have their way, gays would be beheaded. This is hate speech according to her?

Now, I don’t know what the CHRC does really, or what teeth they have or, if found guilty of violating the human rights of Muslims by stating truths and facts about their religion, what kind of fines might be imposed upon Connie Wilkens (owner of freedominion.ca). But I know this - thank God I am in the United States of America, where people like Gentes and her ilk (ahem ‘rev‘) have to hand-holding, nose-wiping, cry-baby government department to go to and try and censor those they don’t agree with.

California moves to protect kangaroos…while Australia moves to cull the beasts
July 24th, 2007 under Stupid Laws, Cry-Babies, Stupid Judges. [ Comments: 1 ]

Going to Australia? Can’t go to Maria Island at the moment. The Aussies closed the entire island for twelve days and it won’t be open again until 28 July. The reason? They have to cull the herds of kangaroo, wallaby and paddymelon (okay, you got me, I don’t know what a paddymelon is).

“There are two primary aims with the program itself, one is for the
welfare of the animals themsleves in terms of maintaining a sustainable
population on the island and also for the the native flora itself,” [David Whitelaw from Parks and Wildlife Service]
said. [source]

Meanwhile, several thousands of miles away, the courts of California maintain that ‘roos are endangered…or at least they don’t want shoes made from kangaroo leather in the state. For reasons unknown, the state of California does not allow products made from kangaroos to be sold or imported into the state. Oh who am I kidding? I know the reasons, because the whiny libs in California think the ‘roos are so cute and cuddly and the jump around and they have to neat little purses on their bellies.

A lawyer for the Humane Society of the United States, which filed a
“friend of the court” brief on behalf of plaintiffs Viva! USA, called
the court’s decision “critically important” for species other than just
kangaroos — such as grizzly bears, bald eagles and wolves, which are
dependent on state protection. [source]

Where in the world does that come from? Who would buy something made from grizzly, or eagle or wolf? Well, okay a wolf stole would be kinda nifty, with the head still on and everything (not for me of course, but the 5/8 would look smokin’ in something like that). Anyway, it is ridiculous to compare something as bountiful as a rabbit, to something that is barely hanging on in the world. That is idiotic.

I wonder though, will David Beckham (you know, the soccer guy) be in trouble as he plays for the LA Galaxy? He wears kangaroo shoes. If ‘roo can’t be imported, I have to wonder if they will arrest him, and if so, will it be before the game, or after the game?

Oh cry me a river you bloodthirsty bastiches!
July 23rd, 2007 under Islam, Cry-Babies, Terrorism. [ Comments: none ]

Islamic charities are experiencing low self-esteem. They say they are being unfairly targeted for extra scrutiny since 9/11.

“Any charity that decides to provide aid to Palestine is either shut
down or intensely scrutinized,” said Meek, who is also president of the
Muslim Legal Fund of America.

Well no duh. Let’s see, Palestine is run by Hamas, which President Clinton declared to be a terrorist group in 1995. That declaration makes it illegal to give them money or other types of aid (medicine, books, bullets, inter-continental-ballistic-missiles). In addition to Hamas, we also have Hizzbolah running around stirring things up, shooting people, kidnapping people, generally causing terror and mayhem (so not only are they terrorists, they are also mayhemists and doublely dastardly combination).

I’m not a complainer. I take things in stride. And when this beaner goes on an airplane, especially to anywhere west of Arkansas, this beaner knows exactly what is going to happen. It has happened each and every time he has boarded a plane in…oh… the last 20 years or so. His luggage gets opened. He is ‘randomly’ picked (each and every time) for extra scrutiny. The airline security folks rub that white cloth thing over the handles and zippers of his carry on luggage. I expect this, why? Because I know that these people are looking for drug runners and/or dealers. I know that these people know what drug runners look like. Add to all that I know that my appearance is consistent with that of the appearance of those that run drugs. Does this bother me? Hell no, I welcome it. Because I know that if they check everyone that looks like me, they will catch many of the drug runners out there.

So yeah, charities that send money back to countries that harbor islamofacists are going to be scrutinized a little more than…say…charities that send money to Canada. Get over it. It is a fact of life now.
