Sarah Palin & Barack Hussein Obama |

Now, there are those who will claim this side-by-side comparison is unfair. That it isn’t right to compare Sara Palin to Barack Hussein Obama. Course it isn’t. B.O. wants to be President, Palin is looking to be the Vice President. But, B.O. opened that can of worms when he tried to claim that running for president has given him more executive experience than running the largest, richest state in the Union, which borders two foreign countries. Guess, he didn’t really think this whole thing through. Hell, I’d vote for Palin over B.O. all on her own!
(BTW, I stole this from sohos - she gets the coolest shi…uh…stuff!)

Running Scared? |

When I read things like this:
Barack Obama contends that he is more experienced in executive matters than Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin because he has managed his presidential campaign for the past 18 months.
Ummmm….ooookaaayyyy. So….running for president, gives you more experience, and better qualifies you for the job of president, than running a state qualifies you for the mostly ‘wait and see if he dies’ position of vice-president? I have to wonder just how nervous is the camp of Barack Hussein Obama that McCain picked Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate? Seriously, Does B.O. really expect anyone but the most loyal kool aid drinkers to actually believe that running a presidential campaign gives one more executive experience that running the largest, most wealthy state in the Union? Puh-leeeze.
“Well, my understanding is that Governor Palin’s town of Wasilla has, I think, 50 employees. We’ve got 2,500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe $12 million a year. You know, we have a budget of about three times that just for the month. So I think that our ability to manage large systems and to execute I think has been made clear over the last couple of years,”
For his illustration, even though she is the governor of the entire state, he talks about the size of her small home town of Wasilla, mentioning it has only 50 or so employees, and a small budget. Claiming that his campaign has more employees, and burns through three times the annual budget of Wasilla in a month.
Thinking about this leads me down a whole other line of thought. And that thought is ignorance. Like many people, B.O. comes of as completely ignorant of the Land of the Midnight Sun. I remember when I was living up in Alaska, and my mother was trying to send a package, some birthday gifts for the kids or something…anyway, the guy at the post office gave her a stack of forms to fill out. She asked why she had to fill these out, and he replied that they are required for any packages going to foreign countries. Um…ok, right.
My strong suspicion is that B.O. has never been to Alaska, and if so, has probably been only to Anchorage, and even then, probably didn’t travel more than 10 miles from the Airport.
Palin’s acceptance speech was incredible. I know of at least two die-hard Hillary fans who, after watching Palin’s speech, have proclaimed they will vote for McCain over B.O. because of Palin. Personally, I like her. She’s smart, witty, tough, and fairly easy on the eyes. Plus, I like the remark about the difference between a pit bull and a hockey mom being lipstick.

Obama’s Uncle a Pinko-Commie? |
| May 27th, 2008 under Elections, DUH, Honor, Dumbasses, Barack Hussein Obama. [ Comments: none ]

Barack Hussein Obama, speaking in Las Cruces, NM on Memorial Day, is either lying, or coming out of the closet with his family history. Memorial is a special day. Extra special for those of us who love our country, and who hold in awe the men and women who have given their lives for it. They offered the ultimate sacrifice, so that I can sit here, and write this. Providing me, and you, and the rest of America, the freedom of speech we hold so dear, and cherish so much.

Obama told the story yesterday (on Memorial Day mind you), about how his uncle helped liberate Auschwitz concentration camp at the end of World War II.
“I had a uncle who was one of the, who was part of the first American troops to go into Auschwitz and liberate the concentration camps…."
The question that comes to mind is, why would Obama tell such a story? Since Obama never served in the military, maybe he feels he is at a bit of a disadvantage. Maybe he felt inferior to McCain, a former POW from Viet Nam. Or, it’s possible that he wants to - on some deep level - come clean about his family ties.
The problem with Obama’s story is that the American’s did not liberate Auschwitz. The Soviet Union did. So, unless his uncle was a pinko-commie, it’s all just another big lie. Much like how his parents met at the Selma march (which occurred after Obama’s birth - do the math genius).
Should a man who knows so little about American history…and indeed African-American history…be elected? Frankly, it scares me. What in the hell did this guy learn in school? How did he get to the position he is?
The leftards are really good at painting Bush as an idiot. But I’ll bet you dollars to donuts, he knows that his parents could not have met for the first time after his birth. In addition, I’d wager that he knows who liberated Auschwitz.
The thing is, with so many gross lies about his history, and his family history. How do we know what is truth and what is fiction? How do we trust anything this guy tells us? I don’t think I can. Is he Muslim? Don’t know, and frankly, don’t really care. Was his uncle a commie? Don’t know and don’t really care. But whether I care or not really isn’t the issue. The issue is, is he lying (again)? That, I do care about.
Oh, and one more thing…his mother is an only child. Makes one wonder what uncle was fighting with the Reds..doesn’t it?

"A Bitter America?" Well, DUH! |
| April 15th, 2008 under Elections, Barack Hussein Obama, John McCain, 1st Amendment, 2nd Amendment. [ Comments: none ]
|
|
I received an email from the John McCain campaign today. In the subject line was the simple question "A Bitter America?"
The email centered around Barack Hussein Obama’s speech in that bastion of liberalness, San Francisco, in which Barack Hussein Obama "described Americans who live in small towns or other areas that have experienced a loss of jobs as "bitter" people, adding that it didn’t surprise him that they, ‘..cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.’"
This type of talk, if it what he truly believes, and not something he was simply pandering to the progressive secular elitists in San Francisco, is so far off the mark. Boiled down to its essence, what I see Barack Hussein Obama saying is, "you people who like your right to bear arms, and your right to freedom of religion, if you don’t like the current influx of illegal aliens (it seems the left always leaves out the illegal part when dealing with illegal immigration), you’re just bitter people who don’t know any better."
McCain’s response to this is:
"During the Great Depression, with many millions of Americans out of work and the country suffering the worst economic crisis in our history, there rose from small towns, rural communities, inner cities, a generation of Americans who fought to save the world from despotism and mass murder, and came home to build the wealthiest, strongest and most generous nation on earth.
They suffered the worst during the Depression, but it did not shake their faith in, and fidelity to, America. They did not turn to their religious faith and cultural traditions out of resentment and a feeling of powerlessness to affect the course of government or pursue prosperity. On the contrary, their faith had given generations of their families’ purpose and meaning, as it does today."
Now, I would have to agree that people don’t cherish their freedom to bear arms, freedom to worship as they see fit, and freedom to voice their opposition to those who break the law by illegally entering our country, but I think McCain is missing the mark. He seems to believe that those of us in fly-over country, those of us in the small towns and rural landscapes, are content. That we are not bitter. In fact, it is my experience that the opposite is true.
The people Barack Hussein Obama is speaking of are bitter. They are bitter because they see the bought-and-paid for representatives in Congress chipping away at their rights. They see the likes of the ACLU trying to silence them when they speak up, or otherwise display their love for God and Christ. They are bitter because the far left are proponents of illegal immigration, and don’t mind that people are hemorrhaging into this country at an unsustainable rate.
McCain, on the other hand, doesn’t acknowledge that bitterness. Either he doesn’t realize it is there, or he simply chooses to ignore it. Either way, it presents him as out-of-touch with America as the Democrats are painting him. I fail to see how the bitterness and distaste for our so-called representatives in Congress can in anyway shape or form be linked to the Great Depression. What is McCain getting out with this statement? I don’t see it. Maybe I’m to jaded and…bitter.

Over the past almost year, we’ve heard stories and rumors of stories regarding Barack Hussein Obama’s minister, the (un)Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s racist views, and his denouncing of America as a country.
Until now, Obama has excused his pastor (whom, in a speech today, he refers to as his ‘former’ pastor). Offering justifications for Wrights antagonistic rhetoric. Wright grew up in the 60’s, an era full of racial tensions and explosive demonstrations. But does that excuse someone who jumps up on his pulpit, and denounces the country he lives in? I don’t think so. There are plenty of people who grew up in that time span, and plenty of people who has experiences almost-but-not-quite-exactly the same as Wrights.
What does Obama’s (former?) pastor have to do with the man? That’s a good question. If everyone had to be judged by their pastor, we might not cut mustard. But Wright is not simply Obama’s pastor. I say ‘is’ and not ‘was’ because I fully believe Obama’s denunciation of Wright today is a completely political move, to try and distance himself from the fire and brimstone and “America stinks” views of his pastor.
Obama has called Wright his pastor, mentor, friend. Obama sat in this pastor’s church for some 20 years, listening to his vile rhetoric, and seems to be now surprised that Wright holds such views. Wright officiated the marriage between Obama and his wife (you know, the one that thinks women should stick to teaching and nursing), and baptized his daughters.
Again, that is what a pastor is supposed to do. What gets me is that Obama was somehow completely blind-sided by the pastor’s anti-American, anti-Jewish, anti-Caucasian views and preaching. Either Obama didn’t go to church as often as he lets on or he was sleeping during the hellfire and brimstone services, or (and most likely) he truly believes in what Wright has been saying.
Not once in my conversations with him have I heard him talk about any ethnic group in derogatory terms,…
Perhaps not in conversation, but notice that Obama doesn’t say he has never heard Wright talk about ethnics in derogatory terms, he just hasn’t heard him talk that way in their conversations. Quite an omission if you ask me.
The thing is, that since the beginning of this campaign, Obama and his supporters, have been making excuses for, and trying to marginalize Wright’s hate-filled speeches. This has been an issue which has largely been ignored by the mainstream media, and was disseminated pretty much solely in the blogosphere and via ultra-right wing radio talk shows. But now that the MSM has jumped on this story, Obama had to do more, so he drops his pastor of 20 years, drops the man who officiated his marriage, and baptized his children.
He claims because of one speech made recently. How is that for loyalty? How is it that, after 20 years of spiritual guidance, mentorship and friendship, your pastor makes one speech and suddenly he is not longer your pastor? No, it wasn’t this last speech alone. It was a lifetime of racial hatred towards anyone not black that caused Obama to attempt to distance himself from Wright. But you’ll never hear Obama admit that.

Michelle Obama: Be a teacher |
| February 29th, 2008 under Elections, Barack Hussein Obama, Women's rights. [ Comments: none ]
|
|
Barack Hussein Obama’s wife, Michelle just might be this guy’s downfall. While speaking to women, she discouraged them from going for advanced degrees, and going into corporate America. Instead, she encourages them to enter the service industry.
“You know, become teachers. Work for the community. Be social workers. Be a nurse.”
All this, while whining about how much it costs her to send her kids to piano and dance lessons (about 1/3 of the average income of the group she was speaking too).
Mrs. Obama also bemoaned the amount of money she has to spend — nearly one-third of the median household income in Zanesville — on piano, dance, and other lessons for her two children.
How many years have women in American struggled to get where they are today? To be able to be captains of industry? To be able to run for President of the United States, and actually have a shot? And Michelle wants women to go back to the 60’s and be nurses and teachers? What kind of crap is that? What next? Never leave the house without your husband? Wear head to foot coverings? Sheesh.

"…the primary is all but over." |

It has been said ‘If you tell someone something enough times, eventually they will begin to believe it.’ I think that is just the thing that Republican Steering Committee Sen. Jeb Hensarling is hoping for. This is nearly word-for-word what Karl Rove said a few days earlier.
Meanwhile, back at the Whitehouse… President Bush is touting how great and true a conservative John McCain is. If McCain is a "true conservative" like Bush, I shudder. President "I’ve never met a spending bill I didn’t like" Bush is miles, one might even argue, lightyears away from being a conservative of the Reagan type.
Don’t forget that McCain is pushing the open borders policy. Wanting to give amnesty to illegal aliens. Unfortunately, it looks like McCain is going to get the nomination for the GOP. This is distressing. I don’t know how I can, in good conscience, vote for John McCain. But then again, I know I can’t, in any type of conscience, vote for HIllary Clinton. The Democratic Convention is going to be all fired up. Obama and Clinton are neck and neck. No clear winner heading into it. I don’t know the last time it was that close.
If Obama wins it, he will be the next president. I don’t see anyway that McCain beats that guy. Even with his spending six years in an Islamic school and his father being a Muslim. He is articulate, and engaging. McCain…well…he is McCain. He has the personality of a stump.
My curiosity has turned to who might be the running mates. For Clinton, I lean towards New Mexico Gov. Richardson. If I remember correctly, she spent super Tuesday at Casa Richardson watching the results. Richardson is of Hispanic heritage. He grew up in Mexico. But he carry’s a "white man’s" name. Much like Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress. Of course, he ran using his "white man’s" name, not the Muslim name. If he’d run using his Muslim name, chances are he would not have won. But I digress.
For Obama, a good chance that Kansas Gov. Sebelius could be tapped for the No. 2 spot. She gave the Democrats response to Bush’s State of the Union address. She is fairly easy on the eyes, she is also engaging and well spoken. Of course, she hasn’t done squat for Kansans, but that probably doesn’t matter much. Granted, Kansas doesn’t have all that many electoral votes, but some of the "one of us" votes could spill over into Oklahoma, Missouri and Nebraska. Add to that, it would provide a very good chance for Kansas to blue.
On the GOP side, I’m thinking that McCain made a deal with Romney for the VEEP position. He was leading Huckabee in votes in the primaries, and then just gave up.
But then what do I know, I’m still a few hours short of my Poly-Sci degree anyway.

Thompson is out. Now Romney is out. The two GOPers left in the bid for the presidential nomination are McCain and Huckabee. Ok, ok, and Ron Paul. But seriously, who is kidding whom? Paul doesn’t stand anymore chance of getting elected president than I have of winning the lottery - and I don’t even buy tickets!
McCain, in what I’ve seen of him, is what we lovingly refer to as a RINO. For those not accustomed to acronyms, that means Republican In Name Only. He was, and still is, for amnesty for illegal aliens. He is against strict interrogation techniques for those who have no other wish than to destroy us, an our way of life. He is in favor of closing Gitmo. I suppose that means brining all those baddies mainland, and what then? Give them amnesty? Who knows. But I do know I like Gitmo. I like that they have these people there, and I like that these people, through our interrogation techniques, are giving us information that is helpful to the men and women defending our freedom.
Huckabee, on the GOP side, seems the best choice to me. I wish Kansas had a primary so I could cast a vote for the guy, but alas, we don’t. At any rate, Huckabee, I believe, has a much, much, much greater chance of beating Hillary if she is nominated. And quite frankly, I hope that she is. I don’t believe the GOP has much of a chance against Obama, seriously. The guy is brilliant, and is a brilliant speaker.
Huckabee has some good ideas on his web site. He has some good plans for taxes, and especially the border, and what to do with the current crop of illegals rummaging around our country. Sure, he is going to be called a racist or whatever for his demands of a fence. But he seems to tell it as he sees it, and doesn’t appear to worry to much about what people call him. I find that refreshing.
For instance, his idea for dealing with the illegals currently in the country is to give them a grace period to register with immigration, and be sent home. After being home, they are then eligible for re-entry through proper channels. Those that don’t register and are picked up, will be sent home and not allowed in for 10 years. And he is 100% against amnesty. That says a lot in my book.
He supports mandatory funding for veteran’s health care. Having veteran’s health care claims processed in a maximum of six months. The right for disabled veterans to receive both their military retirements and VA compensation. These people are the way they are because they chose to put their lives on the line for us. No one in the military is compensated nearly enough for what they do. And those disabled vets deserve 10 times what they could ever hope to receive. So I’m with him on that. Call it double dipping or whatever, but Goddamn it, they deserve it.
His desire for energy independence goes beyond mere talking points. He outlines a clear plan to become energy independent. The details aren’t fully there (at least not on his web site), but I can read the passion in the outline. I believe this guy is serious. And to be frank, I don’t have a problem with my tax dollars going to fund research in this manner. It is much better and tons more useful than studying the flow-rate of ketchup.
And he believes the 2nd Amendment pertains to the individual, not the State.
I truly believe a Huckabbe v Clinton race would go to Huckabee, and not by the narrowest of margins either.
