La Raza is as un-American as you get |

The un-American racist group La Raza’s president and CEO Jante Murguia is at it again. Wanting to remove the debate over immigration from the national discourse. Railing against ‘rhertoric’ and inferring that any one who wants to quel the problems we have with illegal immigration is actually ‘anit-immigration’ and racists.
She wants news shows to stop interviewing folks who believe that America should be able to control her boarders. She wants removed from public debate those poeple who advocate for a rational, reasonable immigration policy which does not include complete open borders.
“Anti-immigrant rhetoric has filled the debate with code words that demonize Latinos as a threat to the American way of life,” Murguia said.
Code words that demonize people. Would that be like saying people against illegal immigration are completely anti-immigration? Isn’t anti-immigration itself a code word, meant ot demonize the rational, thinking American populus? Looks like it to me. By and large Americans are not anti-immigration. They all know that we all came from somewhere else, at least our ancestors did (ang that includes you Native Americans too, y’alls ancestors came across that landbridge up by Alaska). Immigrants have created some of the best innovations we have ever seen.
La Raza, which, BTW they tell us means “The People” or “The Community” is truly translated as “The Race.” The term they would use for “The People” is “La Gente” and “The Community” would be “La Communidad.” So when the un-American card-carrying member of La Raza tries to tell us that their name is mis-translated, they are perpetrating yet another lie to further their cause - and we all know that is the cause of complete and open borders…at least on the US side. They probably don’t want Americans running around Mexico, opening businesses and making money and sending it back home (but I could be wrong).
A perfect example of how La Raza does not believe that the 1st Amendment should be the primier law of the land is their statement that their new website is meant to;
“take the hate and vigilante groups off the air,” “clean up the rhetoric,” and track hate crimes and offensive comments.
Track offensive comments. Like, oh, I dunno, some kind of ‘thought police’? Since we do not live in Canada, we have the right to say offensive things. We have the right to hold people up to scrutiny and ridicule. We are gauranteed by the First Amendment to be able to say things which hurt other people’s feelings.
It seems that La Raza wants to have the last say in what is offensive, in what should be allowed to be uttered, in who can say what and when. La Raza’s mission, belief, goal and purpose for being is completely antithetical to liberty, freedom and the American way.

I’m not a fan of John McCain’s. I think this guy would be bad for the country, and certainly bad for conservatives. He doesn’t want to close the border. He still wants to give the 12+ million illegal immigrants in this country a free ride. He doesn’t like interrogating Al Qaida terrorists. And on and on and on. But would he be better than Hillary Clinton? With Clinton we get socialized medicine, an immediate pull-out from Iraq, probably the closure of Gitmo, and on and on and on. Plus, don’t forget, this is the lady who said "We are going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good." If that aint socialism, I really don’t know what is. It seems to me, seriously though, that McCain, with all his faults, would be the lesser of two evils (granted, not by much though).
Ann Coulter disagrees. She claims if the race is between McCain and Clinton, she would vote for Clinton. Now, I should disclose that I’m not particularly a fan of Coulter’s either. I think she is crass and rude. I’ve never read her books, but she is a far-right wing bomb thrower who does stupid things like defend McCarthyism. Have a look see:

Somehow, the Aussies seem to get it. Their government officials don’t seem to be as frieghtened of being labeled “politically incorrect” as our own government officials. Personall, I’d just like to see someone running for office who wasn’t afraid to tell it like it is, warts and all.
A day after a group of mainstream Muslim leaders pledged loyalty to Australia and her Queen at a special meeting with Prime Minister John Howard, he and his Ministers made it clear that extremists would face a crackdown.
…
Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.”
“However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the ‘politically correct’ crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others. I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to Australia ”
Head on over to SoHo’s and read the entire article. Very much worth reading.
For instance, all those people coming here, to America, because they like what America has to offer and what America stands for, then running around trying to change it to more or less mimic whatever place it was they came from. Do these idiots not realize, that what they LIKED about America enough to come here in the first place is that it is, in fact, NOT like where they came from? Sheesh

A kid in a California (don’t these things always seem to happen in California?) high school wrote an editorial (he was the opinions editor) for the school newspaper entitle “Immigration.” In his piece he espoused some very politically incorrect ideals. Such as “Seems to me that the only reason why they can’t speak English is because they are illegal” and “If a person looks suspicious then just stop them and ask a few questions, and if they answer ‘que?’, detain them and see if they are legal.” Things I certainly do not agree with, and I think most reasonable, thinking Americans would disagree with these statements (I’m not counting those folks up in Montana and Idaho with the huge cache of weapons just waiting for the revolution).
But whether people agree with him or not, he has an opinion and a right to express it. Was his piece appropriate for a school newspaper? I don’t know, as I have not located the full version of the piece, and thus have been unable to read it. But the school principal reviewed the article for, among other things, violation of the district’s speech policies. The article was given the green light, and went into the paper.
After the paper was published, a couple of complaints trickled in, and, in typical liberal knee-jerk reaction, the superintendent of schools ordered the paper recalled and sent an apologetic letter to all parents and students. All this, without even reading what the article said. This is what gets me the most. Just because some people complain, the stupid-intendant of the school district pulls the paper and immediately starts apologizing.
Now, when I started reading this article, I was wondering how the school district violated this kids 1st Amendment right to free speech. And frankly, after reading the article, I still don’t see it. The piece was published, it was out there. The school made a big stink about it, and apologized for it sure, but they didn’t stop the publication of it. I mean, sure, the recalled the paper, but it was already out there, the damage was done. In reality, I don’t see how this kid’s rights were violated (maybe someone could explain it to me better than the article did). But at least he made a point with the lawsuit. Oh, and what a class act, suing for an injunction barring further infringements, and damages of $1. Shows he wasn’t in it for money, but for principle.

At Least Our Lettuce Is Cheap |

Yesterday was 1 May. Some may remember 1 May of 2006. That is the day where numerous immigrants, most of them Hispanic, and a great many of them who entered this country illegally, staged mass rallies, marches and demonstrations around the country demanding they be treated as legal citizens.
There are two ways to become a citizen of the United States of America. The obvious first way is to be born here. The second is to earn one’s citizenship by going through proper channels, following the laws of this land and contributing to society. People who enter the country illegally start off on the wrong foot already. Sure, they only want a better life for themselves and their children. But the exact same argument could be made by the bank robber. That argument doesn’t wash. The ends does not justify the means.
What ticked off so many Americans about the demonstrations last year, was that these people, who came here illegally, were demanding rights that were not theirs to demand. All the while they were flying the flags of their homeland, and cursing America and degrading the United States. Some were even calling for a large portion of the United States to be returned to Mexico. This kind of disrespect for my country makes me ashamed to be a beaner. They come here illegally, and refuse to learn the language, and refuse to assimilate into the American culture, and then are surprised that they are treated harshly?
Of course America needs immigrants. America was built by immigrants. It could be said that every man, woman and child in America either came from somewhere else, or their ancestors did. And don’t get with the Indians, because they came across the Aleutian land bridge millennea before whitey landed on the east coast. So yes, we are all immigrants, or descendants of immigrants. The difference being that most of our ancestors came here legally. They came with the proper papers and the learned the language and assimilated into the culture.
American culture is extremely unique in the world. When a group of immigrants comes into the country, we take their culture and merge it with our own. How else could one explain Italian restaurants in every town. St. Patrick’s Day parades across the nation. And Cinco de Mayo. Cinco de Mayo is a huge Mexican celebration. But everyone celebrates it. On St. Patrick’s Day, everyone is Irish for the day, on Cinco de Mayo, everyone is Mexican for the day.
The fact of the matter is, our lawmakers in Washington must take measures to secure the borders. Without secure borders, we cannot be a secure nation. Without secure borders, there is no point in trying to live the farce that we are a sovereign nation of laws. If we don’t secure the borders and create a simpler, more streamlined process by which people can obtain temporary work visas, then we are doomed.
“Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.” - Abraham Lincoln
We say that everyone should be treated equally, yet we turn a blind eye to the abusive and slave-like conditions in which the illegal migrant worker is forced to endure. We recently raised the minimum wage, but we did not raise the minimum wage for everyone. We raised the minimum wage only for those legal to live and work in the United States. The illegal immigrant is still paid next to nothing. They have no health insurance, they work for practically slave wages, and then to have those wages docked to help pay their ‘coyotes’ which brought them here. Many girls are forced into prostitution.
Those who advocate doing nothing to stem the tide of illegal immigration are promoting these abhorrent conditions. They are advocating for a permanent class of sub-standard persons. To me, as a beaner, this is unacceptable. Who cares if these people are forced to work in conditions that most people would not allow their dogs to live in? But hey, at least our lettuce is cheap - right?

Newton, Kansas is a smallish town a couple (maybe 40) miles north of the metropolis of Wichita, Kansas. It’s one of those Mayberry towns where everyone knows everyone else pretty much. The kids walk to school without any worries by the parents. At least they did.
The real world caught up with sleepy little Newton this week as six men, count them SIX men were arrested for sexually violating three middle school girls…repeatedly.
While all of the men have hispanic surnames, it is not known whether or not they are illegal aliens. My guess is, at least some of them probably are. The girls, apperantly, went to the mens’ apartment willingly, and admitted to the sexual relations. But that is all I know at this point.
I have to wonder why the girls would do this. Willingly have relations with six different men, unless there was something else going on. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to blame the girls or anything, I’m just wondering if the bastard pervs were possibly paying them for the favors.
Man, stuff like this just makes me sick. Sick! These guys should be locked up forever! But knowing the way Kansas courts have been leaning lately, they’ll probably get probation and counseling.

National Guard attacked on US/Mexico border |

This is what everyone who proclaims the need for a fence is talking about. This kind of thing right here. National Guardsmen assigned to man the Mexico/US border were attacked by armed gunmen who quickly retreated back to Mexico after a quicker retreat by the NG. My question is, why did the NG retreat? Oh, yeah, they are UNARMED! WTF is that? Why do we put the NG on the border if we won’t let them actually guard it?
Does anyone really believe that this is a one-time incident? My prediction is, it will continue to happen with more and more frequency. On 9/11 when foreign nationals attacked our land, we struck back. But when foreign nationals attack our soldiers today what do we do? Nothing.
Thanks for visiting!

The story at FoxNews.com pretty much says it all. UFCW union wants a company to knowingly and willingly break the law. And what’s worse, it isn’t even a union plant, but still they are their organizing walk-outs.
Serves each and every one of these people right if the plant simply hires new people to replace them. And since it is a non-union plant, I’m certain that is exactly what will happen!

The U.S. Census bureau simply takes note of how many people live where for the most part. They don’t inquire if the people are in the U.S. legally or not. So all people get counted (both legal and illegal) when the census is taken and redistricting is performed. As we all remember from our American History classes the number of representatives a state sends to the Congress depends on the census and how many people there are in that state. The formula is one congressmen for each certain number of people living in that state (Bigsibling doens’t remember the exact numbers, and frankly doesn’t have time to look it up. Do a google search and learn something for yourself, okay?).
So what do the lefties proclaim?
An argument could be made that Kansas would benefit from more illegal immigrants, rather than fewer.
This is such typical garbage coming from the mouths of liberals could a statement like this make sense. Further down in the article they cite a mind-boggling number which completely refutes the above claim.
A 2004 study by FAIR showed that California’s illegal immigrant
population was costing the state’s taxpayers more than $10.5 billion a
year for education, medical care and prison. And even if the estimated
tax contributions of illegal immigrant workers are subtracted, the
result still was nearly $9 billion a year.
Yeah, and Kansas could certainly benefit from spending even MORE taxpayer money on criminals who can’t be bothered to follow the rules. Sheesh!
