Is Topeka, KS becoming a safe haven for pedophiles? You decide.
May 31st, 2007 under Bad Judges, Child Rapists, Crime, Safe Haven, Stupid Judges. [ Comments: 1 ]

Now, many know that Bigsibling is pretty much an even-keel kind of guy. Bigsibling doesn’t get all flustered about much. Sure somethings tend to tick him off a bit, but in general, it takes quite a bit to ruffle his feathers.

This putz of a judge has done just that. Bigsibling has mentioned in the past that Topeka, Kansas (home of the fruitcake led Phelps Cult) is becoming more and more a nice place to live for pedophiles and child rapists. Places like San Fransisco are safe havens for illegal aliens; Topeka, KS is a quickly becoming a safe haven for sicko child raping perverts.

In the latest two cases that prove my point are that of Federico Mendoza and Orlando Paul Cisneros. Freddy Mendoza chatted up what he thought was a 13 year old girl online, then setup a meet and went to meet this girl for sex. He didn’t know he was talking to the cops and they busted him (go coppers!).  Kansas law recommends a 12 year prison sentence for these kinds of sicko pedophilic child raping perverts.

Orlando Cisneros was convicted of 17 counts of rape and sodomy after sexually assaulting a 14 year old girl. SEVENTEEN counts of RAPE and SODOMY – convicted – FOUND GUILTY by a jury of his peers. SEVENTEEN COUNTS. State law recommends 17 years in prison for this offense.

BBBUUUUTTTT NNNNNOOOOO. The [dis]honorable Judge Matthew Dowd gives them each…get this…three years probation! THREE YEARS PROBATION for being found guilty BY A JURY; IN A COURT OF LAW of SEVENTEEN counts of rape and sodomy against a FOURTEEN year old girl.

Oh, but both of these sicko child rapist perverts were ‘depressed.’ What a load a crap that is. Depressed. I’m depressed, so I can repeatedly rape and sodomize a 14 year old girl and get just a slap on the wrist? FU judge, FU and the horse you rode in on you child rapist enabler. You [unmentionable] low life scum of the earth. What are you, a closet pedophile? You good for nothing gutter trash swine pig piece of [unmentionable].

Credit to the reporter from WIBW tv’s news crew who actually asked the judge if his ruling would have been the same if it had been his daughter that was so viciously violated. The judges answer? “I don’t have to answer that.” [unmentionable] stinking whoring judge. Damn this just rubs me the wrong way.

Notice to sicko child raping pedophile perverts – Topeka, Kansas is a place you can ply your sick demented disgusting habits without fear of going to jail. Cripes it pisses me off. Have I said how much this pisses me off?

I am going to do something I generally find distasteful in blogs. I am going to publish contact information for the “judge”:

How cool is this?
May 30th, 2007 under Technology. [ Comments: none ]

Microsoft has given a demonstration of “Milan” a/k/a Microsoft Surface. This is ultra cool stuff. But I’m still waiting for my flying car!

See the video at MSNBC here. I wish I could embed it, but I guess MSNBC is kind of stingy with that stuff.

Nature displays her denial of global warming
May 30th, 2007 under Climate Change. [ Comments: none ]

It seems that the religion of Global Warming (aka AlGoreism) is taking quite a beating. No word from the AlGoreists on what is causing the latest round of nature’s global warming denials.

If you thought our weekend was bad look at the weather across the water…

Argentina Rations Gas to Companies, Chile Amid Cold

Freak snow storm hits Nepal

Hail bruises the metro area

I don’t have the answers – I’m still a few hours short of my meteorology degree – but it seems to me that all of these cold snaps would somewhat contradict the whole global warming thing. Doesn’t it?

Back by popular demand…The Police

If you haven’t gotten a clue by now, Bigsibling came of age in the 80’s. That’s right, the 80’s. Billy Idol, big hair, parachute pants and MTV when MTV still played music videos. One of the all time greatest bands was “The Police” (you kids might recognize Sting as one of members).

When Bigsibling heard there was a reunion tour for The Police (and a new police cd he got all excited and started saving his pennies. Man he wanted to go to that concert. But alas, they are skipping Kansas City completely on their world tour. Nope, no KC, closest they will come are Chicago and Dallas. However, Bigsibling has entered in the local Topeka radio station to win a trip to see them in Dallas. But as Bigsibling is generally not the luckiest person on the face of the earth (it is hard to believe, but true) his chances of winning are almost exactly, but not quite the same as a bowling ball floating. But that doesn’t stop him from hoping and dreaming.

At least Bigsibling can kick back and listen to the new 2 disc police cd of all of their greatest hits. From “King of Pain”, “Every Breath You Take”, “Do do do de da da da”, and what is probably their most famous, “Roxanne” (even Bigsibling’s younguns know that one).

Now, as you probably now, Bigsibling doesn’t get all that excited about much, but hey, this is The Police. This is even better than The Eagles “Hell Freezes Over Tour.”

Chavez marches toward totalitarianism
May 29th, 2007 under Free Speech, Hugo Chavez, Socialism, Totalitarianism, Venezuela. [ Comments: none ]

In a move reminiscent of just about every dictator and despot with intentions on seizing power, Chavez has closed yet another non-state owned television station in Venezuela – and replaced with a state sponsored television station.

One of the country’s leading dailies, El Nacional, denounced it as “end of pluralism in Venezuela,” and slammed the government’s growing “information monopoly.”

Next, look for the newspaper El Nacional to be closed down and replaced with a state sponsored rag. The more people are kept in the dark about the truth, the more they will follow whatever is told to them but those in power.

The EU’s German presidency said it worried Venezuela let the network’s broadcast license expire “without holding an open competition” for a successor station.

Well…DUH. Chavez doesn’t want freedom of speech. He doesn’t want the press to print anything but official and approved stories. He doesn’t want his people to be an informed thinking populace. That would be dangerous to him and his program. Eventually, a thinking people will come to the conclusion that what Chavez is up to is no good. But if the people are kept stupid and in the dark, they don’t know any better. I’ll be terribly surprised if there is ever another election in Venezuela after the next one. Watch; over the next several years, Chavez will gain more and more power, taken from the people, and will emerge as the newest despot with global ambitions.

As all of this is happening, other countries in South and Central America are moving towards the left, towards socialism. This in and of itself isn’t a problem. There are many socialist states which still provide exceptional freedoms of their people (freedom of press and expression being the most ardent of all). The problem with those states in Central and South America moving towards socialism, is that they are using Venezuela as a model. The question now becomes, will they follow in Venezuela’s footsteps – taking freedoms from the people – or will they do it right? Does anyone remember the (then chastised) Reagan warnings of the “domino effect”? We may now have the opportunity to witness this in our won back yard.

New way to make the bling

PayPerPost – the place where most of the adverts you see here come from – has a new and exciting opportunity for bloggers to earn more income just blogging. The program is called PPP Direct.

PPP Direct works like this; You put the PPP Direct graphic or link on your blog (see mine to the left), then a visitor visits your blog, believes what you are writing or doing is in line with their target customers, and buys an ad on your site specifically.

You set a base price for an ad, and then negotiate the final price directly with the advertiser. Of course, PPP has to get their cut, they are, after all, the broker for the whole shebang. They have overhead and it isn’t free to pay via paypal you know.

The difference lies in how much the split. While other sites, such as “ReviewMe” take as much as 50% or more, PPP will only take 10%. It’s like this, if you are charging $20 for a review, and you use one of those other places, the advertiser pays the $20 and you get $10. Whereas with PPP Direct, you get $18 and PPP gets $2.

Now, it doesn’t take a math geek to figure out that $18 is way better than $10.

Let the plundering begin!
May 25th, 2007 under Economy, Government. [ Comments: none ]

Congress is again overstepping its boundaries. Most recently with a gas gouging bill. This is not a federal issue, it is a state issue. Most states already have gas gouging legislation after what the stations did during the first Gulf War. In Topeka, KS on 11 September, 2001 Woods Oil Co. jacked their prices up to over $5.00 a gallon. The rest of the stations, while harboring extremely long lines, left their prices alone. Woods Oil Co. paid the piper when the state charged them with gouging – at a cost of $10K per incident.

The problem with the federal legislation is that it is impossible to enforce, but it is ‘feel good’ legislation. It makes the sheeple who voted these bastiches into office believe they are actually doing something for the sheeple. What this really is is a waste of time, effort, ink and paper. No gasoline company, nationally, has been gouging customers. Sure, the gas price is high. Sure they strangle supply so as to control the supply and demand side of things to jack the price up. Sure, their business practices leave more than a little to be desired. But that is the way of things.

The next step in this process, since the price gouging bill will do absolutely nothing – This bill will not ’stick it to the man’ – will be government price controls on petroleum products. If one wants to see a debacle in the energy and petroleum industries, let this go into effect. Once the government gets their hands into something like this, it is a sure bet they will muss it up worse than what we see now.

Once the government starts dictating what prices petro companies may charge for their gasoline…whoa Nelly! Think gas is too high? What about gas that is only $1 a gallon, but a station has only 100 gallons a week to sell because the oil companies cannot be profitable enough with the government regulations. It is certain that no refinery for gasoline has been built in this country in the past 30 years. What is the reason for that? Is it that the oil barons are too greedy to build new refineries? That is part of it sure, but an equal – if not more – part of it are the environmental groups. With over-stressing about the environment, enough legislation has been passed that makes it virtually prohibitive for an oil company to build new refineries. Of course, the oil companies knew this every step of the way, and I believe secretly welcomed the new and increasingly stringent regulations. This way they could save money by not building new refineries, and guarantee a fairly nice profit margin in the future by being crippled by the lack of refineries.

It was a win-win for the oil barons. The very ones everyone is railing against now. But we did it to ourselves. We created the environment that is ripe for the plundering. Why then are we so surprised when the plundering starts? Cuba and Venezuela are going to build oil platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. They are going to cross-drill into oil that we should be harvesting. But we cannot harvest the oil because of environmental regulations. Our regulations, however, have no affect on how Cuba and Venezuela treat the environment.

Granted, the supply of oil has little to do with today’s price of gasoline, but it all ties in together. If we could build refineries, we could produce more gasoline. With ample supply to meet the demand, the prices would fall. Simple as that.

There is no room for history in…history?
May 24th, 2007 under Academia, Education, Islam, Propaganda. [ Comments: none ]

In a move that is becoming dangerously typical, the school system in Great Britain seems to be, not quite re-writing history, but at least grossly ignoring it.

Some teachers are no longer teaching the history of Europe as it actually happened. They are skipping parts because they fear offending certain groups (ok, I’m caught, it is Muslims they are afraid of offending). For instance, they do not teach about the Crusades because Muslims learn a different version in their Mosques. Also, they do not teach about the Holocaust because they fear offending Muslims who might be Holocaust deniers (never mind the descendants of Holocaust survivors that are probably offended to a greater extend by its omission in history).

It truly and deeply saddens me that a country as staunch as Great Britain has come to this. They have bent to the will of political correctness. Fix their history, not to claim the Holocaust never happened, but to simply ignore it. Perhaps they believe if they ignore it, it will just go away. I don’t know who said it first, but it has been said, many, many times, that if one does not heed history they are doomed to repeat it.

Yet ANOTHER victory for free speech!
May 23rd, 2007 under Censorship, Constitutional Rights, Immigration, Tolerance. [ Comments: none ]

A kid in a California (don’t these things always seem to happen in California?) high school wrote an editorial (he was the opinions editor) for the school newspaper entitle “Immigration.” In his piece he espoused some very politically incorrect ideals. Such as “Seems to me that the only reason why they can’t speak English is because they are illegal” and “If a person looks suspicious then just stop them and ask a few questions, and if they answer ‘que?’, detain them and see if they are legal.” Things I certainly do not agree with, and I think most reasonable, thinking Americans would disagree with these statements (I’m not counting those folks up in Montana and Idaho with the huge cache of weapons just waiting for the revolution).

But whether people agree with him or not, he has an opinion and a right to express it. Was his piece appropriate for a school newspaper? I don’t know, as I have not located the full version of the piece, and thus have been unable to read it. But the school principal reviewed the article for, among other things, violation of the district’s speech policies. The article was given the green light, and went into the paper.

After the paper was published, a couple of complaints trickled in, and, in typical liberal knee-jerk reaction, the superintendent of schools ordered the paper recalled and sent an apologetic letter to all parents and students. All this, without even reading what the article said. This is what gets me the most. Just because some people complain, the stupid-intendant of the school district pulls the paper and immediately starts apologizing.

Now, when I started reading this article, I was wondering how the school district violated this kids 1st Amendment right to free speech. And frankly, after reading the article, I still don’t see it. The piece was published, it was out there. The school made a big stink about it, and apologized for it sure, but they didn’t stop the publication of it. I mean, sure, the recalled the paper, but it was already out there, the damage was done. In reality, I don’t see how this kid’s rights were violated (maybe someone could explain it to me better than the article did). But at least he made a point with the lawsuit. Oh, and what a class act, suing for an injunction barring further infringements, and damages of $1. Shows he wasn’t in it for money, but for principle.

Chock one up for everyone’s freedom
May 22nd, 2007 under Censorship, Constitutional Rights, Free Speech. [ Comments: none ]

The city council of Granite City, Ill. have shown their true colors. They have decided that pro-life speech does not need to be heard. They have decided that, if one is going to protest at a city parade for the pro-life cause, they may only do so with an 8 1/2 x 11 inch sign. For those bad at math, that is the size of a regular piece of paper. The kind one puts in a copier or a printer.

Luckily for the proponents of free speech, U.S. District Judge William Stiehl ruled this ordinance “was not narrowly tailored and amounted to a ‘heckler’s veto.’”

Huzzah! to Judge Stiehl, for his wisdom and understanding of the U.S. Constitution, and the value of dissent in this great nation!
